MD Today Urgent Care is a high-quality alternative to your regular doctor and emergency room. Urgent Care centers have lower costs and wait times than the alternatives. Although our name and type of clinic indicates that you must be having an emergency to be seen here at MD Today Urgent Care, that is actually not the case. As you can see, our doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants can see you for issues that may take a while to get appointments at your PCP, such as colds, minor injuries, strep/flu, urinary tract infections, pregnancy tests, flu shots and TB testing (we now offer QuantiFERON TB blood tests). Avoid the long wait with your regular PCPs, and we will see you quickly for the symptoms that are bothering you.
No Appointment Needed
The biggest difference between us and PCPs is that you don’t need an appointment to come into MD Today Urgent Care. At the first sign of illness or discomfort, you can come to our clinic and get seen promptly. Avoid the long waits and have your health problems alleviated quickly by seeing the experienced doctors, nurse practitioners and physician assistants at MD Today Urgent Care.
Insurance Plans Accepted
If you’re worried that urgent care clinics don’t take insurance and thus haven’t yet gone to one, rest assured that our urgent care clinic accepts most major insurance plans. Some insurance companies we work with include Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, BlueShield, Cigna, Medicare, TriCare and United Healthcare. Because we have the same services as regular PCPs and ERs and we are offering shorter wait times, it is a wise choice to come to MD Today Urgent Care, especially since our medical costs are usually lower or comparable. If your insurance company is not listed in the above, just give us a call to find out if we accept your insurance. If we are not contracted with your insurance company, we do offer low cost self-pay payments.

Common illnesses include upper respiratory & sinus infections, sore throats, urinary tract infections (UTIs), rashes, mild-to-moderate allergic reactions, and much more. Our providers typically specialize in family or emergency medicine and were selected based upon experience and exceptional bedside manner.
Non-life threatening emergencies such as sprains, strains, lacerations, fractures, puncture wounds, and foreign body removals, are all treatable at MD Today Urgent Care. Our expert staff can treat these painful injuries effectively and keep you out of the emergency room.
We have the full complement of bandages, splints, casts and/or braces to ensure complete care of your injury. If a specialist referral is needed, we would refer you to one of our XiMED Affiliated Physicians who typically will be able to see the referral within 48 hours.

No appointment is ever necessary and walk-ins are always welcome during normal business hours. We do not bill insurance but the cost is only $75*. *If the sport physical form is for college or requires a high level of detail to be covered by the provider, this would typically cost $80* (*Price can change without notice, please check with the office for current pricing. The price may also vary depending on complexity/age).
Common immunizations we can provide include T/Dap ($100), Tetanus ($75), and Flu shots ($40). No appointment is ever necessary for these types of injections, you can simply walk in and we do our best to prioritize these visits because they qualify as “quick visits”.

New as of 11/2023! We are now offering the QFT (QuantiFERON) Blood TB test. This test is a quick blood draw and the lab usually returns results within 48 hours. This QFT test is considered the gold standard of TB testing.
We still offer TB skin tests are required for school volunteers and many employers working in the public and healthcare sectors. Our TB Skin Tests are a great deal at just $75 for the TB Skin Test AND Reading. You must return to the clinic between 48-72 hours post injection for your reading and results.
A tuberculin skin test (also called a Mantoux tuberculin test) is done to see if you have ever been exposed to tuberculosis (TB). The test is done by putting a small amount of TB protein under the top layer of skin on your inner forearm. If you have ever been exposed to the TB bacteria, your skin will react to the antigens by developing a firm red bump at the site within 2 days. If you test positive on the TB Skin Test, you will need a chest x-ray in order to confirm the test results. Source: WebMD

MD Today Urgent Care has an on-site, state-of-the-art, Digital X-Ray. Our back office medical assistants are experienced, certified X-Ray technicians able to shoot nearly every body part except for the head. Upon request, copies of the X-Rays can be burned onto a disc or emailed securely and given to the patient before they leave the clinic. These copies can then be taken to a specialist if needed.
Furthermore, MD Today has CLIA-Waived lab tests for: Flu, Strep, Mono, Glucose levels, Pregnancy, 10 or 12-Panel Drug Tests, Urinalysis, Hemoglobin and more. These tests are available for self-pay and insurance patients and typically ordered by our provider on duty in order to provide patients with the most accurate diagnosis. If additional lab testing is required, Quest or DLS will be able to test for anything our providers order.

Went to MD today urgent care this weekend and received first class treatment. The place was spotlessly clean; the staff was attentive and very professional. Dr Jurkowski was kind and confident. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone.
I couldn’t be happier! I’m going to him for now on. He was very thorough. Within minutes he was conducting tests and taking xrays right there! Things my regular doctor hadn’t thought to do. I love that they open at 8am and are open 7 days a week too!

When I walked in, it’s super clean and very welcoming.
When I signed in the staff was beyond nice! I was all checked in within 10 minutes, and waited maybe another 10 minutes before I got called back. Record time for an urgent care place!
The nurse that took my vitals was awesome. He was nice and funny. I enjoyed him greatly. After he told me I passed all the tests. The doctor came in…. And he was beyond nice and straight to the point! He did his thing and I was about out in 15 minutes.
I will recommend this place to anyone.
Also you can make any of the doctors there your primary care giver. I definitely did that!
Thank goodness I found Dr. Len Jurkowski!! They have late office hours which was perfect for my schedule -and was able to walk in even though I missed my scheduled appointment the day before. Both the receptionist and the prepping nurse were VERY nice and helping to calm my nerves (much needed). Dr. Jurkowski spent quite a long time with me and did everything he could to help me feel more comfortable with my decision to finally seek professional services. I could tell he really cared and wasn’t trying to just run in and out of the room.
Great office! Everything was brand new. They accepted my Tricare Insurance, No co-pay. Little to no wait. Had to get an X-ray on my son’s ankle after a pop warner injury. The back office staff and Dr. J were awesome. Kind, Caring, and laid out all our treatment options. Would Highly Recommend to anyone including Military Families.
Fast, convenient, friendly staff.When you are feeling sick you don’t want to wait in lines, you just want to be helped. I was there less than 15min, left with no pain and my issue resolved.

This is a very conveniently located urgent care in the new Von’s shopping center. The staff is friendly and professional. The doctors are very good and you can be seen quickly and effectively for a fraction of the cost/wait of an ER visit. They have X-Ray on site. They also offer Primary care medical services.
Love this place. Have been 2 times for sinus infection. I was seen within 10 minutes, got my medicine, and was able to go home and rest right away. Happy patient:)

Couldn’t get in with my regular MD for several days for a scheduled appointment so showed-up this morning for an urgent care visit. Fantastic local healthcare resource and location. Quick and easy, super nice staff. Not sure this office will take the place of my normal primary care MD (or will it??) but it couldn’t be more convenient. I hope to not need “urgent care” but nice to know that there is a great neighborhood option when needed.
Dr. Jurkowski was excellent, as was the nurse on duty. I felt so sick and they were able to quickly figure out what was wrong with me. I’m already feeling better after one dose of medicine. They were also very nice to my kids who had to come with me, and just friendly people overall. I’m so happy this office is right in my neighborhood.
Listened to me and had specific recommendations on what we could do to expedite feeling better. Dr. Jurkowski is just outstanding!
I’ve seen Dr. Jurkowski since he was at Scripps and was recently at his new office in Poway. He has always taken a personal interest in me and my family. He and his staff are caring, supportive and responsive. The new location is great because it has hours after work and weekends. So I can always get an appointment that works for me. Too bad I can’t give him 6 stars.
I have not been to the doctor in a while. So I found him mainly because he accepts tricare and close to my work. He was really nice. He took a look at what I had wrong and quickly gave me a solution. The front staff are efficient and nice. I really felt like he listened to me and cared. He was super gentle with handling my bruised legs. I would highly recommended him.
Having thought that MD Today Urgent Care was open later than their usual hours of 8 PM since it was my first time visiting, I came to the facility about 8:10 PM having suffered from a persistent fever just a couple of hours before. In addition to fever, I also had a sore throat and runny nose, and as such I needed help. Though MD Today Urgent Care had just closed, the staff there were incredibly kind and personable and went ahead and made an exception for me; I went in and got diagnosed by Dr. Jurkowski, and he recommended the next best possible course of action. Their service was quick, efficient, and concise, and now, I’m feeling significantly better! Even if I hadn’t been late, I would have had the same, great experience. I highly recommend MD Today Urgent Care to those who need to get checked out and believe this is the right place to do so.
Talked to Dr. Len for quite awhile. Not just about the suspected gout in my right foot, but also how I felt in general. We exchanged ideas and got to know each other a little better than when I first walked in. A refreshing change to the usual MD office visit. I went away with a solution for my foot problem and a new friend in the medical profession. I would highly recommend this doc and his facility if you have some medical issues.
I recently visited for a spider bite that became infected and was really pleased. Dr.Jurkowski was very attentive and due to the severity of the infection I ended up with 3 office visits in 3 days. I was only charged for the initial visit, but was able to see the doc each time. The office staff is friendly and helpful and they get you in and out with professionalism and efficiency. They will be my new go-to spot for urgent medical needs!
Urgent care on Christmas morning? Really? The fear of a broken ankle (and pain!) couldn’t wait until Friday. Fortunately Dr. Jurkowski and his staff made it quick and painless and we were back home to open gifts in a little over an hour. Thank you!
