Yes and no. In most cases, our unique agreement with insurance carriers as an urgent care provider allows you to be treated in our office without a referral if you have a PPO Insurance.
If you have an HMO plan then it is dependent upon the medical group and if you are out of your normal service area. If you are a part of Mercy Physicians Medical Group, you can walk in. We are an in-network provider. If you are visiting from out of town and do not have access to your HMO medical group’s standard network, you need to call your medical group before coming in.
Whether you have a PPO or HMO plan, feel secure to know that your bill is will be sent to your insurance carrier.
